Dear Colleague:

On behalf of the Mideast and Southeast Labor and Management Public Affairs Committees (LAMPACs) and Duke Energy, we are excited to invite you to attend our 2018 Conference in Orlando.

As you know, the LAMPAC events are designed to bring people together to forge better relationships between labor and management. The combined Mideast and Southeast LAMPACs will include utility representatives and labor officials from over 20 states and territories. And Duke Energy will serve as the host company for this event.

Please plan to attend this important conference which will be held November 14-16, 2018, at the Marriott Orlando World Center located at 8701 World Center Drive, Orlando, Florida 32821. On Wednesday morning, November 14, there will be an optional golf outing. And we hope you all will join us for a welcome reception at the hotel on Wednesday evening. We plan to have a full day of conference sessions on Thursday, November 15. Dinner will be on your own that evening and we encourage you to take advantage of the many options available in Orlando. (Click here to download a list of area restaurants. [] ) On Friday, November 16, we will have a short business session but will conclude by 11:00 AM, to accommodate your travel plans.

Our program agenda is still being developed but we anticipate having many interesting speakers and important topics discussed. This is a particularly challenging time for the electric utility industry with a growing “keep it in the ground” movement and many obstacles to overcome as we try to build and permit infrastructure projects. These projects provide jobs and help to achieve energy reliability and security. It is crucial for labor and management to continue working together to provide customers with reliable service and to protect the electric grid.

For your convenience, you may register for the conference and also may make your hotel reservation by clicking the register link below.  Sponsorship opportunities also are available and described on the registration site and we appreciate your support. Updated agenda information will be available on the conference page. We look forward to seeing you in Orlando.
